We are currently hiring for the following position at our facility in Boise, Idaho.

 

Lumber Estimator

 

The Lumber Estimator accurately determines products needed for a project using his/her extensive knowledge of construction methods.  Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Computing material take-offs and estimates
  • Utilizing Mitek Sapphire
  • Determining the scope of work and defining the contractual requirements for the project
  • Assisting clients to identify and solve construction problems from blueprints and/or jobsite visits
  • Answering incoming calls and assisting with inside sales responsibilities
  • Overseeing projects from beginning to completion
  • Personally providing customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service at all times
Qualifications: 

Qualified candidates need to possess a strong ability to accurately read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and technical journals.  Participation as a team member in all phases of the organization is a critical characteristic.  In addition, candidates will need to possess excellent interpersonal, customer relation, and organizational skills with an emphasis on negotiating shifting priorities.  This position requires knowledge of the building materials/construction industry with a minimum of two (2) years relative experience and/or training.
