Description: 

Manages Builder, Developer and Contractor sales by developing relationships and exceeding customer expectation’s to optimize sales and profitability..

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage sales accounts to accomplish sales goals.
  • Directly services key accounts and negotiates high-volume sales agreements.
  • Coordinates with General Manager, to develop pricing strategy to service key accounts.
  • Develops annually personal sales budget and goals in conjunction with General Manager, and monitors progress toward goals.
  • Structures customer relationships encourage increased purchasing by customers.
  • Proactively recommends adjustments to current product line and pricing to remain competitive in the local market.
  • Attends and participates in all company-sponsored training programs as required.
Qualifications: 

EXPERIENCE: Five- to eight-years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, sales and Customer Service and training skills.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials products (especially commodities) and lumber.
  • Knowledge of point-of-sales systems, basic business accounting, safety and store security.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education/Career Requirements
Minimum Degree: 
Technical College Associate Degree (1 year)
Other: 
EDUCATION: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or Technical school.
Minimum Career Level: 
Mid Career (2+ years of experience)
