Responsible for leading, training, and sharing communications to all personnel, in all areas of company policy and procedures; safety; employee relations and performance; benefits and HR/Safety compliance.
Develop, recommend, implement and oversee compliance of hr/safety policies and procedures.
Oversee compliance with company policies and goals.
Administration of employee benefit programs (401k, Health, Dental, Life, Disability Insurance) to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of programs.
Assist supervisors/management with disciplinary related issues. Recommend/administer discipline when warranted.
Coordinate and oversee recruitment and selection. Oversee new-employee orientation processes.
Administer and process FMLA requests.
Implements and updates job descriptions as necessary; analyzes compensation; monitors performance management systems.
Coordination of Safety Committee meetings, loss control programs, safety training and programs.
Oversee corporate safety compliance including record keeping in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Oversee workers compensation processes insuring investigation of work related injuries and review work processes in order to identify or target problem areas, including development of Job Safety analysis and work with management to facilitate avoidance of work-related injuries.
Keep affected employees abreast of OSHA requirements and changes while maintaining OSHA log and communicating accidents as needed.
Oversees corporate insurance programs working with carrier representatives for renewal, claims, record keeping, and annual auditing processes.
Assist with compliance in other areas including Payroll and DOT/FMCSA.
Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices.
Maintenance of records and reports for related areas including training, HRIS, personnel files, OSHA recording, etc.
Experience and knowledge of Human Resource related regulations including FLSA, FMLA, Workers Compensation, Unemployment, etc.
Must understand OSHA standards as they pertain to industrial hygiene, machine guarding, hearing conservation, PPE, SDS. LOTO, etc
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in human resource management or related field.
Training and experience in safety related field.
3 years of experience in human resources.
A valid driver’s license and insurability under the company insurance policy.
